"Written in 1996 and 1997, ON WITH THE BATTLE OF LIFE was inspired by encouraging words spoken to us by a very wise man during a testing time in our lives. After spending many diligent hours assisting us in the resolution of a very urgent matter, he brightly closed our time together with the words, 'On with the battle of life!' Immediately, an accompanying melody turned up in the composer. This melody forms the main theme of this work."
